C Reverse Number

We challenge you, the programmer to write a C program to reverse the user entered number. Note, you should not use array concept here.

reverse number

C Program - Reverse Number

Let us workout a program to reverse the user entered number for example: 12345 to 54321

c-reverse-number.c
#include <stdio.h>
int main()
{
int num, reverse = 0;
printf("Enter a number to reverse: ");
scanf("%d",&num);
while(num != 0)
{
reverse = reverse * 10;
reverse = reverse + num % 10;
num = num / 10;
}
printf("\nReverse of entered number is = %d ", reverse);
return 0;
}
Enter a number to reverse: 135
Reverse of entered number is = 531

Note:

Logic is very clear from the above program,

STEP 1: To get last number of the user entered number we are using "%" operator to find the remainder when a user entered number is divided by 10.

Step 2: Now we are dividing the number by 10 to neglect the last part of the user entered number.

Step 3: Repeat step 1 and step 2 until user entered number become zero by calculation.
