Purpose of Corkscrew Rule
The purpose of Corkscrew rule is to determining the direction of magnetic field.
Explanation
When a corkscrew is rotated in clockwise direction, then its magnetic field is the direction of rotation of corkscrew and the direction of current flows downward. When a corkscrew is rotated in anticlockwise direction, then its magnetic field is the direction of rotation of corkscrew and the direction of current flows upward.
