Millman's Theorem can be applied to a network having a combination of voltage and current sources since voltage source can be converted into a current source and vice versa.
Millman's theorem is applicable only to two sources connected directly in parallel. Millman's theorem is not applicable where there are resistance elements between the sources.
Calculating the value of load resistance, RL for which maximum powe will flow to the load. Also calculate the maximum power transfer efficiency, ie, the power transmission efficiency whien maximum power is transferred.
Any number of current sources in parallel may be replaced by a single current source whose current is the algebraic sum of individual source currents and source resistance is the parallel combination of individual source resistance.
By considering a cicuit having three parallel branches as shown in figure a. By converting the voltage sources into equivalent current source, the circuit will be as shown as in figure b. Finalizing the circuit by converting the ciruit from figure b to figure c.
